En sus declaraciones, Chaves dej\u00f3 claro que, aunque comparte los principios del libre mercado, la falta de transparencia en el proceso de negociaci\u00f3n fue un factor determinante que justifica plenamente la medida adoptada por la mandataria.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Ustedes saben que la presidenta de la Rep\u00fablica, Laura Fern\u00e1ndez Delgado, y yo somos firmes creyentes en el libre mercado, en la libre competencia, en el comercio internacional, en la empresa privada, en los derechos de propiedad. A pesar de que el tratado fue archivado, el exmandatario fue enf\u00e1tico al se\u00f1alar que no se arrepiente de haber impulsado la iniciativa en su momento, ya que el objetivo de fondo era la inserci\u00f3n del pa\u00eds en los mercados internacionales.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;No me arrepiento por el fondo.
